Cooler Evenings, New Beginnings, and Big Changes on the Ranch
There’s something about this time of year that feels like a deep breath. The mornings greet us with a cool breeze, and the evenings settle down soft and calm. After weeks of summer’s heat, the cooler air feels like a gift, making the days far more manageable. While we love the long, sun-filled days of summer, there’s no denying the excitement that stirs in us as fall approaches. With autumn comes the promise of crisp air, turning leaves, and before long—our next set of calves, arriving this winter.
This week also marked a big milestone for our family. Our oldest started kindergarten! We’re stepping into the world of homeschooling, and his little brother is right there beside him, happily following along as a preschooler. It’s a joy (and sometimes a challenge!) to watch them both soak up new things with that childlike wonder.
Meanwhile, our baby girl is growing so quickly—she’ll be a year old come December. These days she’s finding her little voice, saying “mama” and “dada,” and loving her time outside, soaking in the world around her as she watches her brothers play.
The kids also got a new playmate recently—a kitten named Cotton. He’s part Siamese, full of energy, and already making himself right at home. The boys have loved having him outside with them, running and playing right alongside their adventures.
And if that weren’t enough excitement, we’ve got puppy news too! Our mini dachshunds are expecting, with puppies arriving in October. They’ll be ready for new homes not long after, and we can’t wait to share that joy with others.
We also have some more big news coming soon—something we’re not quite ready to share yet, but it’s in the works, and we can’t wait to let you in on it when the time comes.
In the meantime, keep your eyes open because our Fall Tallow Collection is right around the corner, and it’s one you’re not going to want to miss.
Life on the ranch is always full—sometimes busy, sometimes quiet, but always rich in blessings. Cooler evenings, growing kids, new calves, a kitten named Cotton, and wiggly puppy paws… it’s the little and big things alike that make this life so special.
